Terms of use

By using LimitFix you agree to these terms. LimitFix is operated by the LimitFix team.

What the service does

LimitFix compresses video files so they fit size limits set by other services. Platform limits shown on the site are researched carefully but can change without notice; we don’t guarantee that a platform will accept a file.

Your content

You keep all rights to your videos. Only process videos you have the right to use. Don’t use LimitFix for illegal content or to infringe anyone’s rights. When you use optional cloud processing, you give us permission to process your file solely to provide the compression you asked for; files are deleted as described in our privacy policy.

Fair use and limits

Free use is limited to a number of compressions per day and a maximum file size. Don’t try to get around these limits, overload the service, or access it with automated tools without permission. We may suspend access that abuses the service.

Pro subscriptions and credits

  • Pro is billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renews automatically until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account page; Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
  • Credits are one-time purchases, don’t expire, and are used only after your daily allowance is used up.
  • Refunds are handled according to the law that applies to you. If something went wrong, contact us and we’ll make it right.
  • We’ll give at least 30 days’ notice by email before changing the price of an active subscription.

Third-party software

In-browser compression uses ffmpeg.wasm, a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg that includes components licensed under the GNU GPL (such as x264). Its complete source code is available from those projects, and we’ll provide it on request.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is”. Keep your original files: compression always reduces quality to some degree, and we aren’t responsible for lost files or results that don’t meet your expectations. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page and, for account holders, by email.
