WhatsApp's video limit
Videos sent from the gallery or camera button are limited to 16 MB and WhatsApp re-compresses them to around 720p. Sending the file as a Document skips that limit (up to 2 GB) but recipients then have to download it before watching. We make the video fit the 16 MB chat limit at 720p, so WhatsApp has little left to squeeze.
Why compressing first looks better
When you send a large video, WhatsApp shrinks it with fast, aggressive settings. Compressing it first with LimitFix lets us use better settings and hand WhatsApp a file that's already the right size and resolution.
We cap the picture at 720p and aim for 15 MB, which is what WhatsApp would scale it to anyway.
On your phone
Tap the upload area to pick a video straight from your camera roll. When it's done, use Share to send it to WhatsApp directly — no need to save it first.
