25 MB is one of the most common upload caps on the web. Drop your video and LimitFix fits it underneath, with a small safety margin so it never bounces.
Compressed on your device. Your video isn't uploaded.
Gmail and many other email services cap a message at 25 MB, as do plenty of web forms and chat tools. For email specifically, note that attachments grow on the way out — use the email page for a size that accounts for that.
At 25 MB a short clip stays in full 1080p and a few minutes of video still looks good at 720p or 480p. See the table for realistic lengths.
Approximate maximum length at each quality, including audio. Simple scenes compress better; fast action needs more room.
| Quality | Longest video |
|---|---|
| 1080p, crisp | 40 s |
| 720p, sharp | 1 min 21 s |
| 480p, good on phones | 3 min 15 s |
| 360p, watchable | 6 min 59 s |
Roughly 40 s at 1080p, 1 min 21 s at 720p, 3 min 15 s at 480p or 6 min 59 s at 360p. Simple scenes (talking, screen recordings) can run longer; fast action needs more room.
Not quite — encoding pushes it over Gmail's limit. Aim for about 18 MB for Gmail; the Gmail page does this automatically.
No. LimitFix compresses the video inside your browser, on your own device, so the file isn't uploaded to us or anyone else. The only exception is the optional cloud processing for Pro users, which you have to choose explicitly; those files are deleted automatically after processing.
